Mindvalley is shaking up the personal growth industry like nothing else.

With online programs in all areas of life by world-renowned leaders in their field, and with over 12 million students worldwide, it’s no wonder why thousands of people are attributing their success to Mindvalley.

But, is Mindvalley all it’s cracked up to be and a legitimate way for personal growth enthusiasts to uplevel their game and truly change their lives.

I’ll answer these questions and more in this comprehensive Mindvalley review.

Let’s dive in.

What is Mindvalley?

Mindvalley is the world’s leading personal growth platform with programs by expert teachers, thought leaders, authors, healers, and activists in their field.

Co-founded by Vishen Lakhiani in 2002, he went from stressed and burned out computer engineer to creating a global leader and community in personal transformation.

Vishen and his team have built Mindvalley into a community of over 12 million students from 80 countries.

Their single most important value is Human Unity, where they regard Mindvalley as an “Earth” company.

The Mindvalley team comes from all over the world and they envision a human race where people co-exist as one race, free from borders, nationalities, or religions.

Other company values include:

  • Transformation – the continuous pursuit of personal growth and
  • Envisioning – the continuous dreaming & building of a better future.

They stand by their goal to transform people into the best versions of themselves. They live and breathe self-growth working from a place where growth is a goal in itself.

The Mindvalley mission is to collectively raise the consciousness of the human species.

Mindvalley programs cover every area of life including health & fitness, spiritual growth, love and relationships, parenting, emotional and intellectual life, financial abundance, life vision, quality of life, and much more.

The heart and soul of the company is the community. When you join Mindvalley, you aren’t just enrolling in another online course.

You become part of the Mindvalley family where you can share your journey inside the platform and private Facebook groups, get your questions answered by the experts, or participate in motivating other program enrollees.

Is Mindvalley Right For You?

“We’re constantly exploring, inventing, and optimizing personal transformation to ultimately unite our species, save our planet, and usher in a new golden age for humanity.”

Vishen Lakhiani, Founder of Mindvalley

Personal growth is all about change.

It’s about becoming aware of who you are and the things about yourself that keep you stuck.

It’s about recognizing your bad habits that hinder your growth and learning new healthy habits that make growth easy.

It’s about defining your values and becoming the person you want to be to live the life you deserve and make an impact on the world.

If this sounds like what you stand for, then you’re going to love what Mindvalley can do for you.

Personal change is not a walk in the park.

We often say one thing then do another.

We go through phases of incredible discipline, willpower, and productivity that makes us feel like we’ve finally reached a new level of mastery.

Only to be knocked down from time to time that makes us doubt ourselves, question our purpose, and lose sight of our vision.

What we don’t need is more information. What we do need is a structured and proven system that guides us in the right direction and helps us stay accountable.

Mindvalley is all of that and more.

When you invest in a Mindvalley program, the shifts inside you change on a profound level.

Many online courses and programs I’ve gone through in the past didn’t have that much impact on me.

I would feel excited to start them, but gradually lose interest the further I got into them.

Mindvalley programs are different. Each lesson builds on the next. They don’t stuff the beginning of the program with the best bits or bombard you with overwhelming information.

You’re eased into each lesson with clear and concise steps that just make sense.

You complete a lesson with a deeper understanding of why that lesson is important. It builds clarity and a framework around each of the concepts they discuss.

You find yourself feeling like you’ve accomplished something new just by absorbing the information the instructor shared.

It makes you feel excited to dive into the next lesson and ultimately finish the course.

Choose Your Mindvalley Quest

The main Mindvalley programs are called Quests and there’s a perfect Quest for everyone.

Quests or programs are basically courses only named differently and are also more of an immersive experience than most online courses.

With a Mindvalley Quest, you can transform any area of your life that you want to focus on.

But, which Quest do you choose?

Well, Mindvalley has made this decision easy as for each Quest, there is a Free Masterclass you can watch.

Each Masterclass takes a deep dive into the core principles of each Quest. Not only will you take away tonnes of value from a Masterclass, but it will prepare you for what you can expect inside a Quest if you choose to expand on this journey.

Mindvalley Programs, Quest, and Material I Absolutely Love

Free Programs & Masterclasses

Mindvalley has lots of free 5 to 7-day programs which are fantastic. In particular, 5 Days to a Powerful Memory with Jim Kwik, Productivity for Working at Home by Jason Campbell, The Six Phase Meditation by Vishen Lakhiani, and 7 Days to Breaking Up With Sugar by Eric Edmeades are just some of my favorites.

As I mentioned before, every Quest has its own free Masterclass. Masterclasses are in-depth interviews lasting between 45-90 minutes which go into the meat of what you’ll learn in the associated Quest.

Masterclasses by themselves are packed with valuable information. Even with an All Access pass, I’ll regularly do a free Masterclass to determine whether the Quest is right for me and the Masterclasses are often that good, I’ll know within about 10 – 15 minutes.

Mindvalley Mentoring

Mindvalley Mentoring is essentially interviews or “mentoring sessions” with Mindvalley founder Vishen. These interviews started off as Skype calls with the most successful people in all areas of life and they soon turned into full production interviews shot all around the world.

Here are some great Mentoring sessions that I’ve really enjoyed:

  • How to Live to be 180 with Dave Asprey
  • From Suffering to Manifesting with Sarah Prout
  • Cultivating the Mind of the Warrior with David Goggins
  • The Physics of Spirituality with Nassim Haramein
  • The Most Dangerous Lies we Believe about Food with Eric Edmeades
  • How Journaling Helps Create a $500M Company with Patrick Grove

You can gain access to Mindvalley Mentoring as a standalone membership or get it included with the Mindvalley All Access.

There are almost 100 Mindvalley Mentoring sessions for you to enjoy and they’re constantly adding more.

For more details, you can go here.

Superbrain with Jim Kwik

Two goals I want to achieve to actualize my vision for Grand Habit is to learn smarter and write faster.

I want to get as much content out there as humanly possible, for you, the reader.

That’s why I’ve chosen to enroll in Superbrain by Jim Kwik.

This Quest promises to help you develop a super memory and unlock your brain’s potential in just 30 days.

I absolutely love Jim’s teaching style as it is so “memorable” and fun. It’s obvious right from the beginning that he knows his stuff when it comes to learning in smart ways and activating our memory.

Jim Kwik is a world-leading expert in accelerated learning, memory, speed reading, and brain performance, and has coached the likes of Sir Richard Branson, Bill Gates, and many Hollywood stars such as the cast of X-Men.

I am currently on week two and I’m already seeing great results, where I find myself using Jim’s techniques. Whether it’s to remember huge shopping lists or something as simple as remembering someone’s name.

The techniques just work. But more importantly, my mind seems clearer and I’m being more proactive with my work.

The Superbrain Quest is broken into 5 weeks or 30 days and lessons are relatively short. Some are slightly longer around 15-20 minutes but there’s many at just 5-7 minutes long.

I’m also learning smarter ways to take notes which is perfect for when I’m taking courses or reading books and want to fully absorb the information.

You also get access to some bonus material including overcoming procrastination and how to remember your dreams so you can decipher profound insights about yourself.

I’m excited to complete this Quest so I can share my full review with you.

Other Quests I’ve Got My Eye On

The M Word with Emily Fletcher Before I started a daily meditation practice, I would meditate in stints of a few weeks or so and then fall off the bandwagon.

Ever since practicing daily earlier this year (2020), I’ve noticed a dramatic improvement in my mental state, productivity, and overall well-being.

Now I want to take my meditation practice to the next level, and Emily Fletcher’s Quest, The M Word looks to be the program to do just that.

Emily Fletcher is a leading expert in meditation and has taught her methodology to the likes of Google, Harvard Business School, Summit Series, Viacom, A-Fest & The Omega Center to name a few.

She also teaches her techniques for optimizing sleep and overall mindfulness in her online programs and speaking events.

This Quest will help you:

  • Stay awake during meditation
  • Improve your overall focus
  • Add hours of productivity to your day
  • and so much more…

I plan on diving into this Quest very soon and will write a full review once I’ve gone through the material.

What to Expect From Mindvalley Programs

When you enroll in a Mindvalley program, there will be some warm-up lessons to do before you start. In the warm-up section, you’ll meet your instructor and learn how to get the most from the program.

You can do the warm up lessons all at once or at your own pace.

The rest of the program is split into weeks with one lesson to be completed each day. Mindvalley uses a drip feed system whereby you’ll only have access to today’s lesson and the next lesson becomes available the next day and so on.

This is to ensure you don’t over-consume on the content and get overwhelmed. At first, I wasn’t sure if I liked this way of going through a program, but I quickly realized how powerful the psychology is behind it.

You see, even though we think we are capable of consuming copious amounts of information at one time, it really doesn’t sink into our subconscious if we have too much data in our heads.

When we consume one lesson per day, it allows our minds to reflect on the information and really absorb it on a deeper level.

You’ll also find yourself really looking forward to the next lesson each day, which I think is why Mindvalley has such a high completion rate on their programs.

When you’re limited to watch only one lesson a day, it gives you a lot of time to really appreciate the journey and you get excited to consume the next lesson. It’s quite addictive in a good way.

In terms of lesson length, each one ranges from around 5 to 30 minutes long so each program isn’t going to completely take over your life.

The real transformation though is in completing the tasks set by the instructor. These are super simple tasks that won’t take you more than 10 minutes per lesson.

This is really the best way to make the most out of the programs, and that is to do the work they set out for you. Consuming the information alone is only half of the puzzle.

You can go through the lessons on the website from a desktop or laptop or use the app for Android or iOS devices.

One downfall that I’ve experienced on my android phone is that the videos sometimes freeze up and I have to close the app and reopen it to get it working again.

I’m not sure if this is a glitch with the app itself or my particular device. I’ll be contacting their developer support team to see if there’s a common issue with the app that can be remedied somehow.

One other thing that I wish was available was an app for Android TV. I’m not much of a “TV watcher” but I do like to chill at the end of the day and being able to load up a lesson or interview on the big screen would make the viewing experience that much better.

For the time being, I have been screen mirroring on my TV from my phone. It’s not the path of least resistance but it’ll do for now.

Is Mindvalley Worth the Investment?

After taking dozens (possibly hundreds) of online courses, some of which I paid over 4 figures for, Mindvalley programs are well worth the investment.

Each Mindvalley program ranges around $200 – $500 each. This gives you unlimited lifetime access to whichever programs you purchase. This means you can go through your chosen programs as many times as you like.

You also get free updates to your chosen programs so when a program gets updated every year, you have access to the upgraded material at no extra cost.

There is also a 10 day money back refund policy so there is no risk if the program isn’t right for you.

If you’re on the fence about which program to choose, I highly recommend taking the free Masterclass for that particular program.

There are also many interviews with the instructors that cover common questions people have about the programs, you can find them on the website or the Mindvalley YouTube channel.

Still undecided of which program or Quest to choose?

If you’re thinking of signing up with more than one program, then you can save a considerable amount of money with Mindvalley All Access.

This is a yearly membership that is currently priced at $599 per year and gives you access to every Quest available.

There are over 30 Quests in the Mindvalley library and even if you only enrolled in 10 Quests over the next year, you would have essentially paid just under $60 to go through each Quest.

Now, because it’s a membership, you don’t own the programs you enroll in, you just get access to them for 12 months.

It is entirely up to you if you want to continue the yearly membership the following year or you could purchase the programs you absolutely loved if you ever wanted to take them again after your membership runs out.

The yearly membership is ideal for those who want to dive into many of the programs without any limits and completely immerse themselves in world-class transformational material for the next 12 months.

So Many Success Stories

For clarity and peace of mind, there are literally thousands of success stories by fellow students of Mindvalley’s programs.

I have read many of these stories which are easily accessible on the website. You soon realize why Mindvalley has become the company it is today as it helps transform so many people’s lives every day.

My Verdict

If you feel like you missed out on key life lessons to reach your full potential, find fulfillment and purpose, optimize your health and lifestyle or grow a business that makes a difference then Mindvalley could be your missing link.

I couldn’t recommend Mindvalley highly enough.

Is Mindvalley for everyone? Probably not, but then not everyone likes cats, Disney, or hot weather. Each to their own comes to mind here.

If you aren’t fully committed to improving yourself, raise your awareness, change your habits, or break out of your comfort zone, then Mindvalley probably won’t be your thing.

For the rest of the world, get excited for what you’re about to embark on, trust the process and I wish you the very best of luck on this journey.

If you want to connect with me or ask me any questions, leave a comment below or contact me here.

Conclusion

That concludes my review of Mindvalley. I hope I’ve helped you make an informed decision if it is right for you.

My overall experience of the Mindvalley platform and programs have been excellent, and I’m looking forward to completing many of the Quests I’m interested in.

If you’re on the fence about a particular Quest, I highly recommend doing the Masterclass first. This will really help you decide whether the quest is right for you.

And if there’s multiple Quests you want to take then go for the All Access pass, you won’t regret it!

Don’t forget, there is a 10 day refund policy, so you really don’t have anything to risk by joining.
